Wise Women

October is Wise Women month at Lake Austin Spa Resort. The Gathering of Wise Women program began in 1993 in cooperation with the American Cancer Society. Originally, it was a weekend program designed to educate and encourage women to become proactive in their own health care after a member of the Resort's staff was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The program has expanded and evolved into a more comprehensive month-long series, which now encompasses a wide array of topics in which our "wise women" guest speakers provide a continuing source of inspiration and information to our guests.
