Lake Austin Spa Resort Welcomes Two New Experts

Inspiration and Wellness Specialist Julie Haber and Nutrition Expert and Dietitian Shannon Wise Bring Tools for Healthy Living to the Shores of Lake Austin  

 

AUSTIN, Texas (April 2019) – Lake Austin Spa Resort welcomes Julie Haber as Inspiration and Wellness Specialist and Shannon Wise, Registered Dietitian to the 40-room award-winning destination spa in Austin, Texas. Each will offer private consultations with resort guests as well as lead weekly group classes on a wide range of topics such as Nutrition for Stress and Rest and Inspired Living: Health, Optimal Wellness and Happiness.

As former Director of Spiritual Wellness at Canyon Ranch in Tucson, Julie has worked with CEO’s, senators, students and celebrities. She has been devotedly living a holistic lifestyle for more than 25 years. Julie believes our most valuable wisdom comes from the experience of our own life and has developed a keen interest in health and healing after recovering from a long-term life-threatening autoimmune disease. She encourages others to find healing through patience, hope, incorporating a healthy lifestyle, strategy, a dash of humor and finding meaning in all circumstances. Haber is certified in Advanced Sound Healing, is a Mediator, Coach and Minister.

Julie’s mantra: “Be yourself; everyone else is taken.”

Shannon Wise has been a registered and licensed dietitian and nutritionist since 2002. She received education from Louisiana State University and completed an internship at Louisiana Tech University. Shannon began her career in the San Francisco Bay area before moving to Austin in 2009. She has extensive experience in all areas of clinical practice, consulting and wellness. Shannon is passionate about food and nutrition and the impact it can have on ones health and well-being. Her approach is permissive while practicing intuitive style eating and appreciating each individual’s unique needs. She has consulted on nutrition for Hashimoto’s Hypothyroidism, weight loss, binge eating disorder, food elimination, workout fuels, food intolerances and her biggest request is weight management post menopause.

Shannon’s mantra: “Instead of taking away from your diet, (and following a deprivation model), think instead, what can you add in that is healthy and fulfilling and fuels your body?”

 

Classes and Personal Consultations:

Nutrition for Stress and Rest Good nutrition is an important tool to help manage stress from the inside out. Learn which foods can help with creating some calm as well as enhancing sleep quality.

Inspired Wellness Session This session invites both conversation and guidance and is tailor made to address anything one might be facing in life, such as questions around life purpose and meaning, incorporating healthy lifestyle, loss and grief, relationships, creating life balance and other stress related concerns.

Crystal Sound Healing Session This unique one-on-one incorporates vibration and sound using crystal sound bowls. Sound frequencies help to address energetic imbalance by creating an environment conducive for a renewed sense of peace, balance, relaxation, insight, and healing.

Honoring Transition Session This session blends dialogue and ceremony and is supportive for moving through times of change. Whether it be celebrating a milestone, letting go of the past including less than optimum habits, or reclaiming and uniting parts of yourself, this session is helpful for successfully navigating life’s transitions.

Journey-In Session We live in a world where increased emphasis is placed on our outer lives and achievements. Come experience the richness that comes when we turn our attention inward through the support of gentle guidance, music, meditation and breath.

Relation-Tips Class Relationships, wonderful as they may be, can also test us in many ways. Come learn some practical heart wisdom for enhancing all of your relationships.

Rituals for Renewal Class Rituals are a simple and effective way to bring balance to our body, mind and emotions. Guests will take home the tools to create rituals of their own.
