Finding the space to do good self-care can be difficult, but we can practice mindfulness techniques that do not take extra time, energy, or money! Join Dr. Carla Cheatham for a delightful session of fun and laughter as we practice techniques we can learn and teach to others for greater well-being.
Rev. Dr. Carla Cheatham began her career in psychosocial services working in treatment centers and trauma therapy. She then worked for over 12 years as an interfaith hospice chaplain and grief counselor before beginning her current business, Carla Cheatham Consulting Group. Carla serves as a national keynote speaker and consultant training professional and family caregivers in emotional competencies for greater health. She is an assistant professor at the University of Maryland's MS in Palliative Care program, a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization's (NHPCO) Trauma-Informed End of Life Care work group, past chair of NHPCO's Ethics Advisory Council, as well as an author, coach, and consultant for organizations. A long-time resident of Austin, she loves to hike, mountain bike, and travel the mountain states.
