Jean Synodinos delivers grit, grace and acoustic soul with a voice that's been hailed by critics as a force of nature. Reviewers compared her most recent album, love & blood, to Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks, Joni Mitchell’s Blue, and the poetry of Leonard Cohen. Jean was a 2015 Austin Music Awards Top 10 Finalist for Best Songwriter and Best Folk Artist, and she received a Texas Music Award for Artistic Excellence for her 2012 album, Girls, Good & Otherwise. Since 2013, Jean has taught guitar and songwriting to incarcerated men and women at the Travis County Correctional Complex. In addition to music, she is also a painter whose works are in collections across seven states, and she is hard at work on her firs
