Dr. Sandra Rankin is an experienced therapist who specializes in insomnia, why it happens, how it wreaks havoc on health and life, and what to do about it. Sandra holds a doctorate in Health Psychology, a master’s in counseling, a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), and has helped hundreds of clients improve their sleep.

To help more people stop insomnia, Dr. Rankin wrote the book Good Sleep is not a Dream, which includes everything she covers with her clients. She has also written several sleep-focused blog posts for her website, and articles for a residential treatment center newsletter. a newsletter for a non-profit for caregivers of cancer patients, and a local business journal. Sandra was also interviewed for an article by the American Counseling Association magazine that focused on therapist self-care. Currently, she teaches graduate counseling courses at a major university and is passionate about teaching through writing to give more people access to information that can support and improve their life.
