Tina Wilson is a strategic designer who believes in thoughtful apparel design and that it should be a vehicle for bringing joy, color exploration and measurable comfort, while utilizing macro and micro trends.
Born in Detroit Michigan and moving to NYC at an early age with a full scholarship to Parsons School of Design, has led Tina to a lifetime of curiosity, invention, art, and world travel. Tina was president of the Underfashion Club for 7 years, a nonprofit organization devoted to providing mentorship and scholarships to students studying intimate apparel in design, merchandising and marketing.
She is privileged to have worked side by side with American fashion icons Calvin Klein and Donna Karan and where she learned the value of uncompromising vision and curiosity. She has designed for such brands as Natori, Ralph Lauren, Oscar De La Renta, and Nicole Miller under the licensed umbrella of Carole Hochman/Komar. She was the inventor of Control Freak, a shapewear brand licensed by Wacoal America. Her latest role was VP of Design for HUE brands, overseeing apparel, leg wear, hosiery, and sleepwear as they revamped the brand and is now a strategic design consultant who can direct the process from concept and presentation through the many stages to production using her expertise in fit and sourcing.
